
Prawns Pil-Pil

Recreate a holiday classic at home this weekend with our prawns pil-pil. Serve sizzling prawns in garlic, chilli, olive oil, butter and parsley. This works perfectly as a starter with some sourdough bread.

Ingredients
2 packets of Donegal Catch Prawns, defrosted
125 ml extra virgin olive oil
3 large cloves of garlic, finely sliced
1 small red chilli, finely sliced
¼ teaspoon smoked sweet paprika
Generous pinch of chilli flakes
Salt and black pepper
To serve:
Handful of flat leaf parsley, finely chopped
Sourdough toast
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a pan over a medium heat and gently fry the garlic and chilli with the paprika and chilli flakes until just turning golden.
- Add the prawns and increase the heat and fry until they are hot throughout, which should only take 2 - 3 minutes.
- Season well with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper and serve immediately scattered with chopped parsley with the toast alongside.
