Ingredients

  • 400g Donegal Catch Crunchy & Golden Breaded Fish Goujons (approx. 125g per serving)
  • Green Isle Rustic Chips (150g per person)
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 cheese slices

For the tartar sauce:

  • 6 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 gherkin, finely diced
  • 1 tbsp capers, chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tsp fresh dill, chopped
  • ½ tsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook the Goujons and Chips: Preheat your air fryer to 180°C. Place the goujons and Green Isle Rustic Chips in separate drawers or baskets. Cook the goujons for 9–10 minutes, turning halfway through, and the chips for 14–16 minutes, until both are crisp and golden.
  2. Make the Tartar Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, diced gherkin, capers, lemon juice, parsley, dill, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Chill until ready to serve.
  3. Toast the Burger Buns: When the goujons are nearly done, lightly toast your burger buns in a dry pan or under the grill for 1–2 minutes until golden.
  4. Build the Burgers: Spread a generous layer of tartar sauce on the base of each bun. Add 3–4 crispy goujons, top with a slice of cheese, and finish with the bun lid.
  5. Serve & Enjoy! Serve immediately with a side of Green Isle Rustic Chips and an extra dollop of tartar sauce for dipping.
