Ingredients
For the Burgers:
- 1 pack (250g) Donegal Catch Fish Nuggets
- 4 baps or burger buns
- ½ head iceberg lettuce, shredded
- 12 slices black olives (for the “eyes”)
- Ketchup – for decorating and serving
- Light mayonnaise – for decorating the eyes
For the Side:
- 600g Green Isle Rustic Chips
For the Spider Web Dip:
- 4 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
Instructions
- Cook the Chips: Preheat your air fryer to 200°C. Place 200g of Green Isle Rustic Chips in the basket and cook for 8 minutes, shaking occasionally to ensure they cook evenly. Repeat until all portions are cooked.
- Cook the Fish Nuggets: Preheat your air fryer to 180°C. Place half the pack in the basket in a single layer. Air fry for 9–10 minutes, turning halfway through, until crisp and golden. Repeat for the remaining nuggets.
- Prepare the “Eyes”: Slice the black olives into rings. Once the nuggets are cooked, add a small dash of ketchup to each nugget and top with an olive slice. Finish with a tiny dot of mayo in the centre of each olive to make spooky eyes.
- Assemble the Burgers: Spread ketchup on the bottom half of each bap, add a layer of shredded lettuce, then top with three decorated fish nuggets. Place the top of the bap slightly askew so the “eyes” peek out.
- Make the Spider Web Dip: Spoon ketchup into a ramekin. Using mayonnaise, draw 3–4 concentric circles on top. With a knife or cocktail stick, draw lines outward from the centre to create a web effect.
- Serve & Enjoy: Plate up the Spooky Fish Nugget Burgers with a generous side of Green Isle Rustic Chips and the Spider Web Dip for a frightfully delicious family meal!
