Donegal Catch are a key stakeholder in the Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM) backed Fishery Improvement Projects (FIPs), which focus on improving the sustainability of Irish fisheries.
We source 100% of our Haddock from co-ops and fishing boats who are members of the Fishery Improvement Projects.

As part of our Irish sea to plate journey, we would like to introduce you to one of our fishermen, Frank McClenaghan. Frank is a third-generation fisherman from Greencastle, Co. Donegal. His boat, the Foyle Warrior, is an approved member of Fishery Improvement Projects.

As part of our Irish sea to plate journey, we would like to introduce you to another one of our fishermen Owen O’Sullivan. Owen is a third-generation fisherman from Castletownbere, Co Cork. His boat, The Tea Rose, is an approved member of Fishery Improvement Projects.
Meet our Team
Our primary fish processing facility is located in Gurteen, Co Sligo and has been in continuous operation since 1984. Green Isle Foods is the largest purchaser of white fish from the Irish catching sector and processes over 30% of Irish landed haddock and whiting.
